You deserve to treat yourself to an alpaca duvet now more than ever! Whether for yourself or someone else, these luxurious duvets are also great as a wedding gift or an anniversary gift.
Crafted by hand in Ontario with alpaca fibre grown on our farm. The 100% alpaca batting is sandwiched between 230 thread count cotton fabric, then stitched every 6″ in both direction to make sure that the batting does not shift or bunch up. Our duvets are therefore made exclusively of natural alpaca and cotton fibres and do not have any synthetic fibres.
The duvets are lightweight, hypoallergenic, breathable and warm. You will notice that the duvet adjusts perfectly to changes in body temperature. This breathable duvet greatly reduces perspiration in all seasons.
Due to the structure of the alpaca fibre, the alpaca batting does not allow dust mites to grow on it.
Our duvets are perfectly weighted so that they are suitable for ALL seasons – fall, winter, spring and even summer. We keep ours on our bed all year long!
We currently have the duvets in Queen and King sizes. We have one lap/crib size also. If you would prefer a Double or a Single size, please reserve one with us for our next batch. A 25% deposit will be required for those sizes.
The duvet comes in a heavy cotton bag for easy storage should you decide to take it off your bed.
Washing: Our alpaca duvets do not absorb odours and we recommend that they be inserted in a duvet cover that you can wash on a regular basis. The alpaca duvet itself requires to be washed infrequently. In most cases, hanging your duvet outside on a sunny, breezy day is usually enough to freshen it up. Should washing be required, they can be washed by hand or dry cleaned. When washing by hand, soak in a large tub with some Eucalan soap. Let the water drain out and then roll against the wall of the tub to wring out as much water as possible. The duvet should then be hung to dry.
Once again, it is highly recommended that you encase your duvet inside a good quality duvet cover that you can wash with your regular bedding.
